I recently bourght a 92 TR Magna and its in pretty much mint condition save for the brakes. The woman selling the car said she had a lot of problems with them and she had to get the brakes machined every few months and then recently she spent a good $1000 on new brakes. I checked the service logs and shes pretty much right on there.
Now the brakes work fine, they're good. But bloody loud. When i put it in drive whilst having the brake on (hand brake off) and i slowly let it out and the car starts nudging forwards you can hear a damn lot of friction noise. The noise reminds me a lot like off one of those submarine movies when they go too deep and the metal shell start creeking inwards.
I'm not really afraid the brakes will give up, its just that all my friends are like 'woah, nice ride!' then i go to take off and it sounds like its about to explode.
