hey all,
i did some shopping and got some solder and heatshrink hoping to get started on soldering pioneer's harness with an aerpro one....
when i got home to find out where to get some aerpro harness.... i saw this
http://www.aerpro.com/cgi-bin/product.cgi?pcode=PIO285&make=&model=
they have harnesses which connects my HU with the magna without the need for soldering!! the good news though is that i dun need to solder anymore :p ...
so i just have 1 question... the harness on TJs should be a 1 plug type rite? as opposed to a 2 plu type:
http://www.aerpro.com/cgi-bin/product.cgi?pcode=PIO280&make=&model=
thanks for any help in advance !
ummm..... from memory when I did mine (about a year ago) TJ's have only 1 plug.
i can get you pricing on a harness if your interested :) drop me an email or a private message :)

wait for a week for a harness or spend 20 extra minutes soldering.. um yer..
y do u people solder for........
its much easier to just get male and female connectors.

**** y even spend money on connecting wires, i just twist em, put some electrical tape around them, then at the end i just coat the whole bundle in electrical tape....easay as pisss, no money for wire connectors......

DODGY!!! i would NEVER recommend anyone "twist and tape" wires, because the risk of it coming loose and shorting out is just too great

I have been fitting sound gear for years, ALL joints get soldered and then heat shrinked. Only electrical tape used is to help hold and tidy up a wiring loom.
If you twist and tape or even use the connectors you are asking for trouble as most cheap connectors available out there are just that...cheap.

heat shrinking is over doing it imho... its not like the thing is supporting wieght or anything, a quick solder job covered with duct tape and its more than sufficient
