I have done a search to try and find some info on disconnecting the EGR equipment. Cant find any how to info. Anyone point me in the right direction.

What info in particular are you after?? - if you replace your headers with extractors you'll probably find they don't have a hole for them, just get the exhaust place to block up the hole in the back of the plennum.

I was after info on what to expect if i remove the system ie ecu plays up etc

Nothing. It runs fine

There are two vacc solenoids just in front of the plenum runners. Just have to remove the electrical plug into the right hand solenoid and the EGR will not operate. You will probably not notice any difference though. By the way the 3.5L has EGR, the 3L does not.
