Ok Guys, Got my TL, Now i need a stereo
I have had exprieince with getting the TJ headunit in, but who has done the headunit in the TL. I find it intresting the center consol has the power window controls (and the different layout headunit top, then climate control below e.t.c), so before I start going nuts, pulling things that I shouldnt touch, Who has done this, and If you can help me out by roughly pointing to the right panels I should be unscrewing/ taking out, it would be greatly appriciated.
Cheers

mmmmmmmmmmmmm thats a good one, Well pull ot the console likebefore, the top silver bit, disconnect the power window switch, pull out the the little place where the ashtray would be, Now remove the top air vent, 2 screws should be at the top and all should come apart. but i would go into a mitsu dealer and ask they told me how to do it.
And btw congrats on your new buy, theirs a red manual one in tassie for $28,990 with 15000 kays, TW VR limited:cool:

I bit the bullet and did it today. Was very easy, just took the center console out, disconnecting the power window switch, and taking off the knob. Pulled out the bottom dash tray (where the ashtray is in the TJ's) Took the 2 screws out down the bottom, pulled the entire center console fascia out, disconnected the air tube, climate control leads & hazards. Undid another 4 screws holder the frame that the stereo sits in, pulled it out. plugged the new alpine harness in there (as it was wired for the last car) reconnected everything, and reassesmbled averything, and it went together without any major dramas. Only problem is that it doesnt sit flush as it used to in my old car (small 5mm gaps around the surround - I cannot reconnect the little plastic clip)
Oh well, Still looks good. Next weekend is the subs, then I have to start looking for splits in the doors, but that will wait. I just want it lowered, and now
