Was in at the local Mitsi Dealer a few weeks ago organising a service.
Service Manager looked at rear screen and advised they would have to replace.
Asked why he said that the plastic trim surround on the screen was flaking. Showed me a small spot you could hardly notice.
Job done yesterday. New surround is rubber rather than plastic. They are organising their man to re tint the new screen to match the rest of the car.
All under warranty and I didn't even buy the car from them. Great people with a customer focus.

yep.. a fair few have had their rear screens replaced.. did your old one rattle at all? do you notice a difference rattle wise??
mine rattled like buggery before it got replaced.. much better now.. oh and, i didnt have my wndows tinted at the time, i was waiting for the new screen to be put in first as they told me mitsubishi wont cover any tinting or any other things stuck on the back window.. you did well to get their tint for nothing aswell:thumbsup:

mine had a little flake and then in 4 weeks it was flaking really badly so I got it done under warranty too the new seal is a softer rubber so it wont dry out and they tinted too.

Mine KJ rear window needs replacing, which will be done under warranty. Very common problem.

yep, and I had a massive fight with Mitsubishi and my local service adviser over it.
Ended up taking it elsewhere to another dealership, replaced it no worries.
Thing that p&&ses me off was that MMAL stood by the first rude service advisor, even when I sent them photos, they denied that the problem existed, and that it was somehow caused by me.

Isnt it amazing the difference in customer service at different dealerships??? Is it so hard just to replace it under the warrenty...?

I've got my 45k service coming up, I'll have to have a shot at getting it on warranty, and my sat nav mouse thingo wont sit in the holder properly so I'll be trying for that.
