mitsubishi dont make dem anymore
Rubbish they still make them there just too expensive I had to replace my front engine mount cost me $100 at Burson's and genuine was $240 I need to repplace my rear engine mount as well and Burson quoted $85 for that and there's is alot better because it's a sold rubber mount not like the genuine with the gaps which is why they crack and split.
The left and right side engine mounts yes still make them as well sounds like he's making it so he can charge you more for labour etc.
It's better to get them from Burson cause they sell the whole engine mount not only the rubber mount.

Only break in a big front end accident? Whoever was talking to you was talking a load of crap. All my engine mounts are pretty much gone, and I dont get any shuddering, only when i'm in Drive with Airconditioning on.

howdy,
Does the car vibrate whilst in Drive at the lights?? and is smoother in Neutral?
Or only when the A/c is on?
Could be the radiator mounts.

it goes alot better wen in nutrul but i thought that was just cause it reved higher the guy said cause of the mount the AC will make the car vibrate.
should i get another mount of a wrecker or buy 1 and get it installed??
also this engine is less then 24 hours old and i got the CHECK ENGINE light lit up any reasons this could be on???

AC will make the car vibrate
Of course it will I have yet to sit in a car that doesn't vibrate more the AC is turned on.
If your getting the engine light on and satying on then you need to check it out and I suggest you go to someone else don't go back to that dodge mechanic that's taking you for a ride.

When I bought my TR, the passenger side mount was stuffed. Took it for a test drive and it shuddered like all hell at low revs, like when stopped at a corner etc. I was lucky though, and I got the car dealer to fix it for free!!

solid mounts may fix this problem.. ide be willing to try it for 80 dollars a pop if it was a chance of stopping the problem.

Solid Rubber Mounts no holes like the genuine Mitsubishi have gaps but if you go to like Bursons Automotive they sell them sold no gaps last much much longer.

head down the wreckers and pick up a couple
That's if your lucky to find good ones I did that first and either they were gone or the wreckers wanted too much.

The solid rubber mounts might (debateable) last longer, but the genuine mounts with contoured ends (or even the silicone filled ones) absorb much more vibration. My stock ones lasted 260,000Kms with very hard driving; is that long enough?
I replaced front/rear mounts with aftermarket inserts at around $27/each, and a machining shop pressed them into the old mounts for $15/each. The Right and Left mounts were not available aftermarket so I went genuine; they are running into their last few units in the country and not making any more. Also replace the damper unit as this will be well worn too, this was around $90.
Car drives much much better; no throttle delay or knocks on hard acceleration/braking.

I recently replaced my left and right mounts and front torque stay (mount). I had to go to a mechanic shop to press the new mounts i got from autobarn, aftermarket of course. They charged 50 dollars each one to press them in. The left and right mounts cost $79-89, yes each mount was a different price and the front mount/torque stay cost about $42. All were inserts of course. Repro had the whole mounting not just the insert for the front and back but left and right only inserts. They looked dodgy appearing to be filled with nothing more than silicone. Mitsu wanted $200 just to press the inserts into the mounts. I warn on the front mount, we stripped the bolt  using them stupid teeth like socket instead of a proper hex shaped socket, luckily the mechanic charged nothing extra to remove it as long we supplied the replacement bolt and nut ourselves. Brand of the mounts was Kelpro or something. Now with aircon on and in drive it does not vibrate much and when i put into drive it does not go bang and leap forward. TR-TS magnas get the bad vibration with aircon on in drive because the mounts get firm with age and/or because the mounts are busted. My gregory manual was helpful in installing and removing the mountings by themselves and along with two jacks and decent spatial reasoning you can raise the engine to align holes to mounting brackets when reinstalling the bolts.
