Specs of the Amp ??
Headunit.??
Wires used..??
Where is the amp located??
Gains on the amp may be too high??
Hot weather may be causing the Amp to hit thermal Cut out???

If it is not switching off when the HU switches off , then:
1) thermal cutout may have been active. Some cut the sound completely, others just reduce gain.
2) Your remote-on circuit in either the amp or the HU may well be stuffed!
If you have more than 1 amp, are all amps doing it, or only one?

deck is some **** brand dvd player starsound or something
wiring is like a house cable 0 gage or 1 biggest u can get anyway and thats fusion
the deck is powering my 6X9s and frounts and tweeteres.
still have to get another amp to power my subs another 300d and a another amp to power my frounts.
my amp is set to preety much everything full eg gain power everything.

Cut back the Gains a little they may be too high causing Thermal protection...
Gains are not a Volume Control , they are there to ensure the Amp sends a Clean signal..
