hey guys well i was thinking the boxing day sales would be the best place to get all my gear.
now im not sure on exact model numbers but ill be as specific as i can

Kenwood KDC-5029
BOSS 4" Splits (the $50 ones fron strathfield) for the rear passengers
Pioneer 6" Splits for the Front passengers and my self
JBL 6x9's For The Rear Parcel Shelf
2 x Clarion PA12-S Subs
2 x BOSS BA 2900 Amps to run it all

now im hopeing with the boxing day sale i could get all this for about a grand give or take a few.
im still tossing up weather to buy a box or give it a go myself as i can get all the materials myself.
NOW.
Magnat - be quiet i like my Kenwood HU's :P
basically ive chosen this kind of steup as
1) its cheap
2) should be loud
3) reliablity?

thats the only thing im concerned about...is weather everything will stand up to a decent beating here and there.

when we got our home cinema speakers (at a boxing day sale:P) we got this brand called "pyrod"....ive never heard of em ever, and our friends didnt mind bagging us here and there.
but the 5.1 system has lasted 2 years, being used almost over 12 hours a day, and cranked up to the max on many occsions.
so if this cheapo brand can last....i dont see why others cant.

so yes...hit me with all your veiws.

Cheers, Paul

*EDIT* just realised i missed the "O" in audio.....

do u need to fork out for 6x9s if ur getting the subs as well? i'd say drop the 6x9s, make it 6" speakers in the rear (4"s really are crud...really just to fit stock gaps ;) ), and maybe have a few bucks left over.
also keep an eye out on the for sale section for HUs, coz u might find something u didnt think u could afford.
and dont just wait for boxing day sales...that jb hifi sale that was on a month or so ago was great! mum picked up a really good pioneer deck and got 50% off! so just check out the junk mail every week, might find them clearing it before christmas (say for xmas pressies or wateva).
just my $0.02

p.s. thought of going all one brand, or 2? ur car is gonna b like an audio jigsaw ;)

thanks for the input.
just wanna mention one thing, my car already has 6x9's so i cant really be bothered 1) trying to fill the gap, or b) trying to get a new un-cut parecel shelf.
ill keep my eye out man, thats for sure, specially jb, they got a ton of good deals on.:)

and as for brands...nah couldnt really care....all i want is it to be loud and cheap:)...bit like me....

i mean ive heard mixed reviews about the BOSS amps, some members on here have said there s**t and others havent had a problem.
ill definatly keep my eye out for some deals leading up to xmas

Lets Start with the Basics...

Your Headunit : As long as you like it, Go for it..

Fronts : Pioneer Splits are a Great Choice..
Rears: Forget the Boss 4 inches... the JBL6x9's will do a Very good job of keeping them entertained JBL 6x9's are Very clear and Crisp no need to Use the Boss Speakers in the Back at all, they will project a Very nice sound themselves...

Subs: Clarion are a Nice Choice... Have you thought of Getting them a Nice Enclosure?? or is it Pre-fab??

Amps: I would look at going with Jaycar over Boss.. sure the Boss may put out more OOmph but the Jaycar Response amps will be a tad more reliable..

EDIT: I am now Reformed and No longer Bag out any Brand of Car Audio...Unless it absolutely Begs for it...

hehehehe thats fine.
main reason is im sure after i purcahse the HU, splits, Rears, And subs, ill have just enough $$$$ for 2 of those BOSS amps.

well i know that the amps i want to get are 4 x 250W MAX....which would be somewhere around the 4 x 110W RMS?????

what would the jaycars pump out compared to that and could i ever snap em up for around the $150 mark each.?

as for the enclosure, im really keen on giving it a go myself. im sure it couldnt be to hard and i really want to do the whole thing myself...not just bits'n'pieces.
if not i can always get 2 12" rampage subs in a box brand new from work for about $175 :P
well so far besides those cheapo splits everything seems to be in order..
