Ok, so this might sound stupid, but all of my dash lights are out, except for the indicators and the little strip of "current gear" lights. I cant find a bloody switch anywhere, and all of my fuses are good. Could maybe the dimmer roller switch have burnt out? Driving at night with no dash lights is scary...

yo,

You better hope its only a fuse otherwise ur gonna have to take it to an auto elec, which means money.

There is a FUSE in the front under the bonnet, its a '15AMP' - Blue, check them all, there cheap to replace.

My dash lights went out some months ago, replaced that fuse, havent had a problem for a long time now.

So check that fuse.

good luck

my dash lights went out. do as above. or might be from the parkers being connected in you stereo system.

I suspect you somehow blew the dimmer if all the fuses are good.

Take to an auto elec if fuse does not fix this.

My dashboard lights went out once too, i found it was a relay in the fuse box under the bonnet labled tail light *i think* swapped it with my air con relay cuase my air con's fudged and the light's came back no prob.

Do your Tail lights work.. Tail lights and dash lights are usually on the same fuse..:)

have you been installing a new head unit lately??? they blow the same fuse as the back light and dashlight :) make sure you check them closely.. other wise, your light might be blown.. but I don't supect that all the lights blew a once  wiring might be.. though has to be very low leak not to blow the fuse.. :doubt:

yeah i had the same problem after installing my new system... :gtfo: ..if your tail lights, dash and parking lights are out, the BLACK wire...its the BLACK wire....... earth it, dont connect it to the stock wire already there.oh and you'll have to replace the 15 amp TAIL fuse under the hood :bowrofl:

haha i know it's been said many times, but it most definately sounds like a fuse :).

When i fitted my new stereo i connected the earth from the stereo to the BLACK WIRE supplied... and every time i switched on it kept blowing the TAIL Light fuse which in turn blew the Dash Lights as well... So i just earthed the Stereo straight to ground (Car Body), Replaced the Tail Light fuse and all was ok... took some working out though.

Dimmer unit could also be fried; easy replacement that can be done at home.

Gotta be the fuses... I blew a of 4 fuses when i tried to install my head unit lucky i didn't bust the whole deck.
Once all the fuses were replaced the cigg lighter worked again and everything else!
