hi, i dont really understand this offset business, i need rims that stick out from the guards more so then i can do it legally with out spacers, is there another type of car tyre that will fit a magna were the stud pattern fits but the offset is different so the tyres and rims stick out more, guards are going to come out about 4 inches or more from original, and because im ordering the rims it has to be spot on with no mistakes other wise i would have ordered the wrong size, i was looking at AU/BA offset rims but this is the same as the magna so i need something else. if anyone knows of what i need to look for ill apreciate the input.

Legally, you can't change your offset by more than 25mm or 1 inch. Doing so affects the
suspension geometry and adversely affects steering and handling. Anyway, offset is the
distance between the centre of the wheel and the mounting plate. Positive means the mounting
plate is further out then the centre and vice versa.

Falcon rims will stick out fair bit over standard. I currently have speedy longchamps that came from a newish xr6 (whatever model that is?) and they stick out a noticible amount.

Can take pics tomorrow if i remember, to dark outside atm.

He's probably getting a wide body kit. Increasing the offset by 4"/side as stated, is not only highly illegal, but is going to affect the suspension geometry so bad that you might as well drive a car with no steering rack and live beam axles on both ends.

and you know everyone about his suspension mods?
I think going all out with a widekit + supercharger suspension mods would be considered

Its so gunna kill his suspension though.. bigger wheels do damage so that wide of a track will sent it to suspension heaven..:P

Yeah but impossible to upgrade for such a wider track.. dont get me wrong , it will look mad.. will kill CV`s and steering racks and diffs real bad..

Mines a 2002 and had 20`s for 3 months and already done a box and CV`s about to follow..:(

i think i have it, and this wont do no damage, basically same offset as per normal but i want it to dish out much more, just like a vip style car, or what they have on the M3 e46 bmw wide body, there is a way these ppl do it, ive been to tyre places and the only answer i got was to get a 3 peice rim and change the outside ring, but here your talkin in the $4000 mark with tyres at 17", i have seen dished rims with out this 3 peice stuff going on.

If I saw this piece of monstrosity on the road I'd stay the f*ck away from it, that's for sure. Deathtrap. If you want to have the outer edge of the wheels 4" further outwards without changing offset (and hence stress on suspension), you will have to increase wheel width BY 8". Not going to happen.
