View Full Version : Is my HU Rooted?

Takes cd's in and then beeps 3 times and spits them out. reset it SEVERAL times and no results. Radio still functions and works fine otherwise.

Any ideas guys?

Sounds like it can't read the cd. Have you illiminated the possibility that the cd could be scratched or is it an mp3 cd? The optical lens could be dusty or even damaged.
If ya have warrenty on it then just send it in, its the easiest way.

tried several disks.

Ill try one of those cd cleaners if i can find one.

thats a bit of bad luck, iv used more than 3 JVC decks in my car and not one problem with them besides some theives stealing one of them. JVC make a quality deck and i doubt a failure would be due to their quality more likly the way its been treated, dust etc...

Im gonna put a cd cleaner in see if i can fix it for $10 instead of replacing it for $250
