hey guys, well at the moment ive got to 12" ts-w350f subs in my rig, theyre just a basic, single voicecoil, 300wrms sub, now they go pretty hard, but not as hard as id like, can any one make any suggestions as to what would be a good option? i was thinking a single type R or a single type X or something from the pioneer SPL range? i listen to alot of hip hop/rap and the d&b gets a good hard work out aswell, oh, and the amp i will be using is a pioneer class-d mono, you know the one, help much appreciated!
peace,
tom

Budget?
Try and listen to some of the less commercial subs.
Image Dynamics - IDMax
Diamond - TDX
Treo - TSX -> SSi
Digital Designs - 35 series
Boston - G5
All in a different league to the more common pioneer/alpine gear.

Try and listen to some of the less commercial subs.
The rate you advertise these brands, I doubt anyone knows who Pioneer are anymore :-)

It's a decent amp... 1000WRMS @ 2ohm....
You should be able to get a pair of Vibe Blackair 12"s for that sort of money ($600) minus a box....You amp will power these nicely.
Very very nice subs.... I heard a single 12" Vibe Blackair in Dee's car (she 'glassed her own sub box!!) and the low end extension was amazing. She's running Jaycar Kevlars in the front IIRC.
I reckon the cones are beautiful things.... www.vibeaudio.co.uk (http://www.vibeaudio.co.uk)

if you turn the wick up on them, you should be able to hear them 2 or more blocks away :)
They are a lovely sub... and should be plenty loud with a decent amp. I think the amp you have would make them pound nicely.
Remember, buying this sort of quality means that you can turn the wick up without fear of destroying your voice coils. 300WRMS means 450-500WRMS quite happily at this sort of level.
These are rated 350WRMS / 1400W PMPO..... so I think your little monoblock pelting it's heart out will give them plenty of juice, but you will never blow them.
Not only will they be loud, but sound great!

tom look up cronic car audio. He is in joondalup but is like a mobile car audio guy. He stocks just about any brand...vibe, pheonix gold, lanzar etc. Only guy in WA that i know of that stocks some of this gear. So if u want some good subs i reckon talk to him.
