If your Magna has this intake on it I could really use your help:

The information I seek may sound strange BUT allow me to explain. I live in the US and have a Starion. I have talked with an Australian Mitsubishi dealer to help me find the parts I want but without one vital piece of info I can not be certain I am going to get the correct parts...the dealer wants me to get him a VIN code for the car I want parts from! I dont own a Magna and consiquently do not have access to a VIN code. Would anyone with the intake pictured above on their Magna be so kind as to email me a VIN code? I understand that some people may be concerned that giving out their VIN code could lead to problems but rest assured I am only trying to get parts from a Mitsu dealer with the info that code will provide.

If anyone is willing to help out, please send me a private message or an email. Your help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Cheers-
Slo

That looks like that plenum is from a gen1 Magna.

What parts do you need? i'm sure someone will get you the parts you require and send them off to you. You cannot get many new parts for gen1/gen2 magnas anymore anyways, and if you can find them, they will be expensive... you'll have better chance at a wreckers (especially gen1's, every wrecker has at least 5)

Cheers,
Bill

Why don't you want the 2nd gen intake manifold?

the manifold you are after is from a TM or TP magna, Mitsubishi haven't made them since 1991 and probably doesn't make them anymore, but as said there very common as a used part.
The head you are after (standard chambers/roller rockers) is from a TR magna I believe these are still available from Mitsubishi in Australia.
the thermostat port cover you want is easily made from a bit of plate.

Tecodan: the reason the americans want the 1st gen not the 2nd gen inlets is because the 2nd gen inlet is larger and has problems clearing the brake booster when modified and fitted to a LHD/RWD car like the US Starion

Just get him the Vin off a wreck with the same setup.
