looks different, but that isnt always a bad thing... personally i dont really like them, to me they look like wheels with missing hub caps..
but good work!! good on ya for doing something different.. also what kind of paint did you use? is it likely to chip easily?

hey mate..
fair enuff, i can respect that everyone is not going to like the same thing!!
I used caliper paint, so hopefully it will be somewhat resistant to scratching...

black 6-spokes, they do look pretty cool, dont they?
all i'd do now is dump, de-wing, tinted windows and tail lights and that would look very angry!

Will come up a treat

yea... i put some tyre shine on after taking the pics.. oops!
Not sure about the de-wing...
But maybe some of those dark TL rearlights??
you really need to tyre black your wheels.. Otherwise it looks like its missing something. See below car (my g/f's) for the difference tyre black can do.
One other thing.. lower you car, it will make it look alot tougher..

:stoopid:
What size rims are on that? - very tough lookin ride & the ride height looks perfect.
krish,
Lookin good mate. If your after the dark tough & mysterious look... I'd...
- Lower it
- Tint the windows
- Keep that tyre black flowing (but ya know that already)
- Leave the wing on
- De-Chrome it (get the door handles, window surounds, etc. de-chromed / painted black)
- Black or Carbon-fibre Tail Lights
- Tint the side indicator.

Not a fan of black mags unless there on a black car.

Methinks we'll have to start a 'Painted Sports Rims' sub-club. My car has rims painted in the shadow silver of the Solaras. The car was filthy when this pic was taken but I've never regretted painting them - looks good and its so easy to clean.

16x7 (Dunlop SP3000). The rims are black powdercoated. A user by the name of Mercury used to own the rims/tyres.
They are ROH (somethings..)
*edit* Forgot to put in that the height of the car is what it should look like once i get these damn springs in.. (the picture is chopped - lowered and tint)
All my weekends seem to be busy lately...
Sorry to derail your thread mate.
personally i dont like it i think they are ugly as unless on a black car.
but its your car and if your happy with it then thats all that matters.
lower it and it look much betters
very quick 2 min chop for you of 30mm and 60mm

Sweet!
Thanks for the photochops, bain!
Is it just me or does the car look a bit funny lowered??
Another thought - Is it easy to fit VRX arch flares? I'v heard they make the car seem lowered an extra 15mm?
cheers
krish
VRX flairs give you about 10mm..
Go the superlows mate..
If you get me a picture of your car on a flat surface, ill put some more effort into photchoping it..
I could do the current one, but the lighting is pretty dark and i cant be assed playing with lighting effects.
