Right i had a 'little' accident today, the long and the short of it its that my slave piston for my rear right brake got blown right out of the caliper in a fountain of hot brake fluid ( onto my waiting face :()
I refitted it and the opened bleeder valave on both rear calipers, pumped the brake pedal 5-6 times to remove any air then tightened the bleeders.
The brakes work...kinda as in the pedal hits the floor but still has the same stopping power over roughly the same distance?
What can i do, top up the master with brake fluid ( if so plz reccommend) or is it a professional jobby?

Either that or get a mate AND do a google for the basics on brake bleeding - you've got appalling technique there! For most home situations its a 2 person job - one to work the pedal and one to use the bleed hose and work the bleed valves / and or top up the fluid.

You need to get it looked at properly. Brakes are not something you want to play with - if they don't work people die - full stop.
Get it looked at by a proffessional - if you need it done urgently bring it round to us tomorrow by all means - osborne park or find someone closer if necessary.

Have you ever looked at the amount of people roaming around the dark corridors of this site at 1am? there are heaps! everynight, the same people! its like they are only awake from 11pm-2am posting on amc, then back to bed for another 21hours... lol
haha, anyway, i would take it to somewhere to get looked at, as someone else already pretty much said, your brake are probably the only thing that you want to be working 100% all of the time, if the brakes fail, big problems occur.

Yes and they need to get a life but realistically, to expect a proper answer within 14 minutes - Get real.

finaly some one that thinks like me :shock:Is it very high up there on your pedestal  lol... we can only hope that is a compliment to Mitsiman lol :P
I think most of us would recommend getting it done by a professional regardless. No rocket science there... it only took me 4 hours to muster a few brain cells to find the logic.
