hello! i only just stumbled upon these forums wen i was looking for upgrade info for magnas, and i was quite suprised to find a whole site devoted to magnas!
anways, im very new to this whole modding thing so any help will be apreciated. I have a '93 TR 2.6L 4cyl. auto
ok, so what would i have to do for starters to increase the power in the low end? ie off the mark. Im finding even when my foot is planted it doesnt really accelerate untill the revs get ALOT higher...
also where are the ecu's in these cars? ive got a home made shift kit but have no idea where to connect it to :S

well i dont know about the ecu but as for basic power mods.
ud be looking at a straight through exaust system cat back 2.5 inch should be plenty big
extractors, ( headers or pacemakers by other names )
Cold Air Intake with a pod box by EZBoy not sure on the progress of these but use the search function it really does work.
thats about it for basic power mods.
for better handling slightly lower your car 1 inch drop allround maybe.
oh and window tint, this adds 25kw at the wheels i swear ahhahahaha,
nah it just looks good.
So do it

2.25 inch would be ideal for the 4 cylinder, a CAI will help with low end power (well mine did anyway). Typical mods would be:
2.25 inch exhaust cat back into a straight through muffler,
Pacemaker extractors,
CAI,
K&N POD OR PANEL(do a search, plenty of pros and cons).
Barry has some nifty gadgets that i'm gonna try out when i get back from the gold coast, send him a pm.
As for the ECU it is underneath the dash, right in the middle, take off a sidepanel and you should be abloe to see it fairly easy, getting it out...well thats a whole different story :P.

No its not........the ECU is to the left of the Glovebox under the plastics.
Best mod you could possibly do, is save up for a better car......if yur convinced u want to do this car up, then 2nd best mod would be a manual gearbox, u will notice the most difference from this than any other performance mod u would do to your car.

ECU is in the left kick panel, the TCU is under the heater box on top of the tunel near the fire wall
