hey all. gotta a question...im in need of new cv's. anyone know where i can get them from at a cheap price....preferrably new ones.
do autobarn or bursons or some poxy joint like that sell them?? or do i have to go to a specialist place??
and also, i wanna do them myself. has anyone done this before? if so, was it a prick job?? and any tips and/or instructions would be great!!!

Don't know whether they are any good or not, but there's always some new ones on ebay for about $45 (shipping?). They reckon it's the brand used by most mechanics.
One point from trying to replace a boot a while ago (haven't replaced a CV yet, probably need to shortly), is that some of the side panels where the drive shafts go through are removable plastic. Didn't realise this, thought they were metal built-in panels, and so spent a s@#tload of time trying to get the bloody things out through a tiny gap. Take the panels off and it's at least a little easier.
Would be worthwhile getting a manual. Or at least seeing if your local library has one. Actually, there may have been a certain file floating around the forums... :shifty:

yeah ive gotta manual....but its always easier drawing from someone elses experiances.
the plastic things u are talking about....is that just the inner guard that wraps around the whole arch??
