Can someone with a first gen tell me if the retractable units for the seat belts are inside the b pillar like on the 2nd gen or if they sit outside with a cover, a pic would be awsome

If i understand this properly, then they are inside the b-pillar. I'd take pictures but it's kinda late at the moment. If the digital camera is still here tomorrow, by all means I'll snap a way for ya.

im fairly sure then sit in because the cover that goes up the side there its basicly flat all the way down

They sit outside, with a cover. I've had to replace 3 out of my 5 belts. 1 was worn, the others weren't retracting.
