How do you get the red bulbs RED??

I used red nail polish to color the bulb red but they still look abit pinkish..
Then I used caliper paint and the same thing occurs.

any ideas???

you can now get Red LED bulbs

these are great, they dont fade, and they provide an exceptional REd Light when needed!

i had this problem too buddy, until i found a shop that sold actual red glass bulbs

the original bulbs hat come with the lights are just painted and give off a pink light. these lights i found are about 10 dollars each and took me three months for the shop to get them in, but now i thionk they get them in more often. i get get some for ya and postem to ya if need be. blake has also used them, as i put him onto them

Trav, i also use to use the Red Glassed Bulbs, but i still found that my bulbs were Fading, :(

they use to fade differently, so it looked stupid!!! now since the LED's are in, they dont fade, they dont give different colours, and best of all, they will far outlive a traditional bulb.. go post that in that lightbulb forum we had a laugh about before??

who was it that said that LED's rule?? hahahhahah and all those low life responses he got from that!! PRICELESS!!

The Red LED Bulbs are really nice.. Have a set on the brothers MR2, look sweet and don't fade which are good, coz his car literally bakes in the sun!

you could also go to your local Holden dealer and get the brake light globes from a XC Barina.....they have red bulbs

yeah i've been searching for them.... went to places like repco, autobarn, super cheap auto and they all says it illegal to have red bulbs.....??

If your totally stuck there is a place in WA called Odin Auto Parts in Balcatta. Give them a call and im sure they will send you some, 10 bucks each with 6 bucks postage id say.

bout $20 bucks each, but they will thats cheap compared to replacing 10x 5buck red bulbs :roll: these will last a good 4years straight!!

anyone who is after the red bulbs can get them from autojoy, they are located in brisbane, sydney melbourne and adelaide, they cost $16 and are really good
autobarn got them for me from autojoy
