Hey guys i bought a car polisher 2day.

iam already abit of a detailer fanatic but im unsure where to start with the hole machine buffing. Can you recommend a good scratch remover and the procedures involved to do it.

I have NO clue when it comes to this. thanks

mate PM MaD_iX about this.
he's a detailer by trade and can tell you exactly what you need, conversly go to www.detailparadise.com.au and ask them there.

im sure for a fine cut polish use megaiurs swirl remover 2.0 (#9)....for a heavier cut use megaiurs fine cut polish or medium cut polish.

i cbf using a machine.....it was about $80 for something powerful enough to do the job i said screw that, for $4 i will use my hands thank you very much.

wouldnt of minded a buffer though to get all the deeper swirls out...o well

Just be really careful with those things as if done wrong you can burn your paint work or just outright damage it... I bought one myself but only used it once as I happened to lift the buffer off my car for a second and the the pull over cloth on the wheel frisbeed off the bloody thing and flew up onto my roof lol

I am not a detailer by trade.

Please specify which kind of orbital buffer you have as I've seen two types here. One has a 10" pad and is utterly useless. The other type usually has a 5" backing plate.

iv got MOTHERS mild cuting agent to remove scratches from my ca and it works a treat. i tried in on my mates back s15 and the paint didnt fade at all. jus dont rub it to hard or hold the buffer down at a high speed on one spot coz as hyper TF said it can burn ur paint.
