sure he put the right fluid in?

magna gearboxes need specific fluid, not the normal dextron stuff...

only other thing is fuse blown for the TCU, almost sounds like the car is stuck in limp mode... but even in limp mode you get reverse...

Scanned and sent to Magnabuff, BCX7 and yes TC to you. :D

Sorry about the size, I wish someone could tell me how to shrink a Jpeg for emailing so that it doesnt loose all the info. I tried it in paint but if you go below 50% when you blow it back up its crap. :badpc: :soapbox:

try this... http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

dowload the image resizer, install it. then find your file, right click and select resize... you can choose a custom by clicking advanced.

ms paint doesn't do a good job of resizing... if this power toy doesn't work, then you'll need some software like photoshop or paintshop that can resize pictures without any loss.

I am learning about auto boxes and find it very interesting. If car wants to go forward when R is selected, I think something must be wrong in valve body (maybe manual selector, whatever it is called is broken, I just can't think of the right name) and fluid is going the wrong way. Maybe one of the channels in the valve body is blocked. Most important you check that correct fluid has been used. If not, there is a chance fluid change will do the trick. On TR/TS box reverse used higher pressure, I don't see why. Did you check/replace the filter when you had the pan off? A flush if there is such a thing might be a help.

Limp mode on TR/TS is not O/D, but is reverse and first or Reverse and second, maybe third gear. Definitely not 0/d.

Does your car have electric switchable O/D, like TR/TS? If not, when you pull off the car will be top gear. so hard to get moving and once moving there will be no gear changing. If tHe O/D is not swhitchable, then I really do think it is a hydraulic problem (in valve body probably).
On TR/TS first and Revese share some compentry.

Maybe the pump is stuffed. There is a way to check the pumps pressure capability (hook up a gauge).

Where do you live?

Does the car have a tranny computer. IF yes try to pull codes.
If car has a TPS (THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR) , This could be the problem. Computer thinks throttle is open wide. TPS is easy to check. use multitester.
