I am looking at buying some 6.5" focal polyglass splits. has any one installed these speakers in a TL magna (or any other magna with similar mounting positions)?

I am concerned tat the tweeters will not fit in the factory locations. so just want to know what others have done. if they dont fit i will probably put them on top of the dash. how hard is it to get wire to that position?

You don't want them in the factory locations anyway, regardless of if they fit.

They should be close to the midbass for best staging, so down low in the door. Makes for much nicer listening. Once you make the distance from your ears to both speakers different, it can sound very bad. All good installs of good speakers have them set as close to the mid-bass drivers as possible.

Leave the factory tweets where they are. Consider running them at very very low volume in comparison to the rest.... they will help lift your sound stage.

Focals are nice speakers... best of luck.
