hi all,

my auto tranny fluid needs replacing.... i been told by a few mechanics that the fluid tranny in a magna drains well and doesnt realyl need a flush. best quote i got was 135 for an oil change... do u need a flush or does it depend on tha car

It's Ideal to flush it, to make sure no old stuff remains in it, I suppose you could just drain it but its ideal to get all the old oil out.

I'd say find a friend who could help you out, or take it to an auto place where they know what there doing, most double flush it.

personal choice, but i reckon most people pay to have it done

As everything is almost covered, just ensure they dont use the wrong Auto Trans fluid.

oh yeah thats another question, iu was reading somewhere before about this... but should they ONLY use genuine mitsubishi tranny fluid????

Yes.....mitsu magna autos need special tranny fluid from mitsu. The normal stuff does not work.

Mitsi fluid is good stuff. I just changed my tranny oil also. Need abour 4.5 - 5l for auto. Mitsi sell 5l bottles for around $30.
