Has anyone painted the grill on their TJ?

Over the next few weeks, my cars gonna be hit pretty hard with mods (gonna try do everythin at once when I get some time off, CAI, throttle body, Lukey Ultra Flow, RPW extractors, cosworth vent, 17" PT Akura's, king springs).

Until then though, I was thinking I could rip off the grill and paint it silver. Anyone else played with their grill? I WAS gonna debadge my car this weekend, but I cant get my hands on a bloody hair dryer! :bowrofl:

Hey also, just a quick question, there's only glue behind all the badges on the TJ right? No nasty holes are gonna be left behind?

The simplest and most effective mod really is to get a KJ Verada grille.

But I dont want a Verada grill. I want a silver Magna grill.

the best looking grills on the TJ would have to be the verada, but if u dont want that, isn't the ralliart one slightly different again? i dont know how a stock TJ would look colourcoded, if at all, only the outer edge. painting the inner "mesh" could look messy.

and no, mitsubishi were kind enough to leave the boot metal completely hole-free so we dont rust in years to come :)

Nice one Jeza! That's what I want! But silver! And mightymag, yours is nice as well mate, but I want something a lil different.

I did get around to debadging the car today, they've all come off! Thinking about mounting the 3.5 and V6 badges together somewhere on the back as well.

Does anyone know of any companys that make random badges? Say if I wanted a silver smiley face in the place of the Mitsu badges...

...or something along those lines.

I did mine sometime back - I've been happy with the result - better than the grey plastic look anyways.
