Ive got a thing here i printed out from RPW ages ago, it works out to be about $7000 for what they call a "stage 1" with 220kw... im assuming thats plus labour... so yes, :D it can be done, but prolly not worth it. :doubt:
More info here (http://www.rpw.com.au/Performance%20Upgrades/Engine%20Generic%20Products/6G7%20SOHC%2024v%20Engines/6G7%20SOHC%2024v%20turbo.htm)

What exactly do you base that statement on??? There's only one commercially available "Bolt on" supercharger available for these cars - and it's on par with a the RPW's stage 1 turbo option in terms of both cost and power.
As for easier......... it's easier to hand over money for someone to install a turbo than it is to hand over money for someone to install a supercharger?? how to you figure?

because there are 2 exhaust manafolds on a v6 thats why its easier to bolt on a supercharger no pluming and more room

I would have hoped for a better response than that!
Seam welcome to the AMC, please use the forum search feature of the forums, you will find much information on turbos and other things to do with your ride if you use search. But yeah, you will be looking at big dollars and much work.

RPW and street torque are the places to look for turbos. Dont forget to look at the supercharging option though. It may be easier (cheaper in the end) and most likely more reliable, sprintex are the ones to look at and will be the only ones to give you any sort of warranty.

Your first post was absolute, ...just your opinion, lacking substance, non informative and not even from experience right? therefore of little worth.
Maybe if you would explained you reasons for that blanket statement, your point might have been better recieved.
Sort of a bit late now though... anyway, moving on.

RPW will give you a 20,000km warranty on their builds. I don't know what ST offer, but it's probably comparable. For what that's worth :D

If you want a cheaper alterative go for the supercharger. It is cheaper. For 7 to 8000 dollars you can have it installed in the same day. If you have cash to blow you can do for the deluxe twin turbo setup the stating prices start from $6000 for a simple setup giving an outup of 25% (1 week installetion), or spent up to $20000 and have everything done, including the injector, larger pistons, lsd, front engine mount and a lot more, giving you 100 to 120% more power, making a standard 3.5l reach 320kw or more(2 week installation). The risks of cheap setups are that if are a rev head you will fry engine parts because of the high rev rate. So I recommend that if you are interested in giving your car a boost to 220 240kw and not spent so much money supercharge it.

But is this just for the parts they install or all other parts standard ont he car that may be damaged as a result of installation?

I see no point putting a turbo in a magna unless its an AWD, all that power goes to waste at the front wheels
