i just got the little 'condoms' that slip over the bulbs. about $3 for a pack of 6. come in 4 different colours. my speed fades from green to red at about 100kmh and the taco fades from blue to red in about the middle aswell. the blue covers dim the bulbs slightly but the others don't make much difference. and you don't have to wire in resistors. the bulbs are expensive to buy. i had to get some for my sss pulsar and nissan wanted $32 each. so i went to the wreckers and got 8 bulbs and a gear knob for $5.

this is in my car. i've just used the bulb covers. in my girlfriends car the speedo fades from green to red. its not the best picture. looks better in real life.

i did mine on the weekend just changed 4 bulb covers to red to match sports dash. two up top, one on each of the cig.lighter and ashtray. see......
