what ever you do, dont buy the Verada Leather from a Mitsu Dealer!

1000 for EACH front seat, and i think 890 for the Rear 2piece parts!!!

i almost fainted!!! (actually i called them 2 days ago about this so the prices are pretty current!!)

You can install an intereior from KE-KJ Xi modal Veradas....
GOOD LUCK FINDING ONE :D
All Xi's have lether also GTV-i and a few special order cars.
Unless you have electric windows you will not be able to install the door skins.
There is also the fact that they normally have alot more electric stuff... therefore you will not have the witing harness to get these to run easily.

Good Luck

For a full interior in FULL leather ud be looking at $3000+

Id recommend u go half leather half vynil. It wont look ne different...a slight different feel (that basically only pros can pik) and wont smell d same.

Itll easily half the price. ALOT OF PPL DO IT...i was gonna do DSL-03L but the decided against n wait for racing seats (that neva came :( )

There is a TJ series II getting around Canberra, stock, with leather. It has LE badge on the boot. Verada headlights. Sport/VR-X rear wing, standard front bar but with lights. Standard A/C (not CC).

Nice unit. Looks like an Advance specially optioned. but full leather interior.

anyone seen them?

found it in redbook. Executive model!

I feel lucky hearing all that talk..

My new TH (to me anyway) has leather interior. I believe factory fitted when ordered. It is sweet as. It does lack the door trim leather though (just has crappy cloth, which I plan to change) as it is only an exec model. Also has ABS.

What does it cost to convert the normal windows to power windows? it probably costs heaps but would give it a more 'luxury' feel.

I bought an electric door from the wreckers... NO GLASS. $200
The trim is going to cost you another $75 ... if you do the work yourself then the labour is free.
The biggest problem is that the electrics are intergrated into the wiring harness..
You would have to run your own wires or get the COMPLETE harness.
There are a couple of relays and fuses under the bonnet, for teh elcetrics.
you could mount the fuses on the inside of the care with the relays ...
The wiring is mainly a constant power that is fused and releyed... the relayed wire then feeds to all te motors..
There is a constant earth. and a constant power that comes to each of the doors. then there are two switched powers from the main door to each of the passanger doors.
ne of the powers to the passenger doors has to go through the drivers door so they can turn "off" the ability of the passengers from lowering the windows..
Oh and the main power on my windows allows for a 30 sec time gap from once the car is turned off for you to raise or lower the windows before you have to turn the ACC back on to get the windows to move.

You dont want the windows to be able to be raised or lowered when the car is not on... otherwise theives can push the button down with a coat hanger and the window will lower....

Yep...it's the Limited Edition. It's based on the Exec, with extra goodies....comes with full leather, electric windows, parabolic headlights, fog lights, dual-airbags, A/C, cruise control, color-coded everthing, and 16" alloys. I don't think there's anything I've missed!

Thanks TbuTcher

Are all the fuses and relays already there? (or the places to put them in the fuse box). Which would mean it is only a matter of runnning the wires...

Was there any major difference in the powered/non-powered door or could I just get the power window parts and change the internal door trim panel?

Thanks

Fuses and Relays are NOT there.. the provission in the Underbonnet fuse box is there.. but NO Wires or fuses/relays..
The doors are Identical. Just remove the powered stuff fom the damaged doors and insert into your doors...
ONE THING TO NOTE!!!!
I did this on a TN to Elite electric windows...
The one problem I found was the at the metal channel that is pressed onto the lower part of the glass had DIFFERNT mpounting points for Electric and no electric winders... So I had to gimmy them off and then bang them back on the other glass.
In the TE+ Im unsure if the mounts are differnet... but I "Think" they are the same.

Without braging i have to be the luckiest person on these forums!!!!
i picked up my grey genuine leather seats around may last year off my dad's mate. The seats are out of a KH verada and fit perfectly in my TS. Drivers seat is the only one that is electric but i only sit in the drivers seat and only venture over to the passanger seat if there is a glammer chick there waiting, whcih hasn't happened in a while.

$200 and a case of beer. The passanger seat is a bit damaged and the drivers seat isn't too bad. Thinking about taking out the front to and putting in matching grey leather racing seats, but thats another thing on the to do list.

THATS 200 THE LOT, AND I"M NOT MISSING AN EXTRA ZERO ON THE END

i just got my doors retrimmed as i put in a new speaker set up. got fairly chummy with the guy who did it. he told me it would cost around 3500 for FULL leather interior(was a bit more coz of the wagon) or around 800 for the exact same set up only using this stuff which is a leather grained vinyl mix which is almost imposible to tell the difference. it is also more hardy and easier to clean. i dont know how vain you guys are but unless you would feel cheap and dirty having "fake" leather theres not even a decision to be made when your talking about a difference of 1700 bucks!

uhh you sure such a thing exists?

leather is cow hide. You cant exactly melt it down and mix it with plastic nor chop it up into little pieces and mix it in.

There is such thing as vynil thats printed to look like leather, but you can tell the difference quite easily still.. Vynil gets hot sooooo easily. Good old leather takes its time to start burning.

GAM is right in saying vynil heats up...thow it is more built for wear and tear. Takes more to hurt...leather is easy Messed up in the wrong hands...
But leather feels nicer n smeels 100 times nicer!

MAGWGN...ummm...ur statement about being dearer because its a wagon...how? Same amount of seats and doors...y is it dearer? If the guy told u that i wouldnt go bak to him ever...Im serius. If hes told you that off a quote...imagine the crap hell spin when ya cars in d shop.
If i find out ive had a quote or any work done and relise or find out they have lyed to me...i refuse to return my business.!

that quote was for full leather. im talking ever vinyl covered panel in the car replaced with leather. also bigger roof lining, carpet in back. total show car stuff. would have been less for just seats/door trims. anyway he did mine for 20 bucks.(like i said we got on well and i had already bought and cut the vinyl. if your doing something small go to spotlight and buy your vinyl from there. cut out the rough shape then just get someone to cover it. you know youll get a good finish but save a motsa.) the vinyl he showed me wasnt a leather vinyl mix, sorry if i didnt explain properly, its a vinyl covering but mixed differently to make it softer and more plyable to try and recreate the leather feel, its also poured with a leather grain finish. he showed me to samples and i swear i coudlnt tell the difference by just looking at them. add to that its stronger, more durable and costs around 1/10th the price you can jam your leather smell where the sun dont shine. they bottle that now so you dont feel wanting. although i was prety pissed coz when i first went in there was a commodore getting the full leather treatment for like 950 bucks! the guy said they ran some special promo and he was the first bloke who showed up with the cash so he got it. sucks to be late!

here are my finished front door panels. the top bit is the original insert recovered and the bottom is an insert the guy made for me. total parts and labour cost around $100. you save alot when you do it most yourself. check out the finished instal pics in the audio section.
