i noticeed this too, and have to change my leads, but was worried about f***ing something up if i did remove the plenum, considering i am but a novice at these kinds of things.
is there a good chance of stuffing anything up here, or is it just a matter of unbolting the plenum and replacing it when done??

Yeah its easy.. there is about 6-7 bolts holding the plenum on.. undo them and just lift it up.. easy as pie..MMM Pie.. MMM hot apple pie.. lol

so does this mean i need a torque wrench/? and if so how do i know what the right torque is?
yes i think u should need a torque wrench and if u have a gregory's manual (buy them from supercheap, atuo pro or motoquipe etc..) it should say in there (i got a 2nd gen 4 cyl carbie so i got no idea what the torque is). That should help u out :D
