Hi all

I have just bought a 94 TS, and was just wondering what, if anything there is that I should look out for that may go wrong. It has 175000 on the clock, good service history to 100000, and seems to be running very well. Any thoughts on things to watch out for would be very appreciated

On my list would be:

1: check thermo fan S are working (most magnas are cooked because the fans are faulty)
Easiest way to check is to idle the vehicle with the bonnet up, and wait to hear the fan...... then turn on the aircon and see that the other fan works too


2: Check brake condition, flush brake fluid and refil with fresh new fluid of dot 4 spec,

3: wheel alignment,

4: CV's,

5: oil leaks (replace front and rear main oil seals),

6: if its an auto, a tranny service kit (filter and new fluid),
(5 litres of genuine mistu tranny oil @$32 is cheaper than 4 litres of castrol @$40)

7: power steering flush (new fluid)

8: Radiator flush and new coolant to mitsu specs

and also valve seals
idle the TS for a couple of minutes and give it a rev
any white smoke valve seals will need doing
