Hey, haven't been game enough to remove the stock headdeck an indash stacker from my Verada as yet but i was hoping that someone could tell me if they have RCA outputs.... I really don't wanna get a new deck just to amp up some subs and i don't wanna lose the steering wheel controls.

Perhaps getting around this problem... does anyone know how incredibly terrible it would be to amp up from the rear speaker connections to power subs. If it can be done... CHEERS

There are things that you can buy that convert speaker level outputs to a level that is suitable for the amp. I cant remember what they are called. Pretty sure there is a thread around here somewhere though

You can also buy amps that have high level ins.
No RCA connections there

Sorry Tim, I will have to argue this point.. A little...
Yes you can Source High Level Inputs from the Connections on the Rear speaker outputs.

1. You need an Amplifier that can accept High Level inputs
2. You are still going to need a Power Wire and Ground wires suitable to the Amp being installed..
3. With this Setup your rears and Sub will be getting the same signal , Frequency Cancellation becomes an issue and since they get the same signal, no fading between the Two...
4. Splice the rear Speaker Channels to run a signal to the Amp...This can affect total volume playable for the rears...

High Level input Amplifiers are used Frequently in Company Vehicles... It allows the Factory head unit to be used to power a Sub without the need for Deck replacement....

So yes Your Stock Head unit will power a Sub if Done Correctly by a Professional...

As Tim has stated above, It wont Power a Sub directly off the Deck, without proper Amplication....

As far as I am aware Blaupunkt make Decks that are compatable with Steering wheel remote controls, I am not sure if Mitsubishi is Supported..

Yeah, you actually have the same stock HU as I do...

What I'm actually planning on doing is keeping that HU and doing a similar thing as you are. The adaptors are called High-low adapters, and basically convert the speaker wire to a pre-amp out or RCA out. I'm running a whole system amp off that, so the problem of still running the rears off the HU is kind of gone. So it wont sound as good as an aftermarket HU, but it will still do the job.
