In the engine bay box next to the battery, the cover will have the relays listed

unfortunately my cover has had the printing come off it and is barely redable in some places and not readable in others

any chance someone could scan theirs in for me?

I didn't think horns needed a relay. They dont really draw alot of current.

I had this issue when I first got my car, I think acciedently broke the plastic part off, new horn cover cost me about $65.00 from Mitsubishi. (Installed)

See if you can get one from a wreckers or even off ebay if possible, will save you paying full price.

P.s Do this before you pay for it from Mitsubishi, you dont need to pay for it till you go on, cancel the order.

Your choice..

How much they charging?

The pad itself is $61.25 new and takes about 30 seconds to install (hence why you were probably not charged), my main concern is that getting one from the wreckers will mean its already 10 years old.

I think its better to just lash out and get a new one, even if it only lasts 10 years, whats the chance of the secondhand one lasting that long (unless its never used)

Yeah, But how often do you use your horn, I find I dont use it much only a few times throughout a year, if I could get my hands on one for $10 with all the clips and bits I would sure test it out. Seem's for the original price might as well of replaced the steering wheel aswell.

Well, I use my horn regularly as I live in the country, and use it as a "traditional (typical) aussie" to say goodbye when I leave my friends and family's places.

My car horn gets used almost as often as my personal one! lol (and thats pretty regularly)

I have found that 2nd gen magna piezo horns fail reasonably regularly.
To quickly test the horn curcuit, with the IGNITION ON press the horn pad/button a few times and listen for the relay click under the bonnet. If the relay is working but the horn isn't then the fault is either the horn itself (behind bumper under LH headlight) or the wiring between the horn and relay. (check the horn terminals with a test light to confirm there is 12V at the horn B4 buying a replacement horn)
If the relay isn't clicking then the fault is either no power (fuse), faulty horn pad/switch, bad contact at the steering wheel/column or wiring damage.
Hope this helps

The horn pads are a common fault, they are flimsy and break with "over use" (read, regular use)

The horn wiring is rarely a problem, the horn is located underneath the RIGHT inner guard (between the RIGHT front wheel and the bumper, directly underneath the fuse and relay box)
, not under the left side headlight.

The horn pads are a common fault as are the buttons in the verada steering wheels, but the horn "buzzer" also die fairly often on magnas too.
I have owned quite a few TR/TS 4cyl magnas and they all had the warning horn on the LHS as i described, gaspa is you car a V6?

Yeah its a V6, do the 4cly and the V6 have the horn on the opposite sides? seems weird......

On U.S. Diamantes, the horn relay is located right above the fuse box. The same type of relay right next to it is the blower motor relay for the air/heat system.

Pull the blower motor relay out and plug it into the horn relay slot - honk, honk.
