Thinking of getting a set of wheels for my ride. Wondering if rim size 17 x 8 inch with a 255/40R17 will fit on the back end without any dramas. Any of you gurus out there have an idea if there's gonna be chaffing?? Cheers

Whats the offset of these wheels??? its the most important factor when determining suspension clearance at rear...on 8.0 inch wheels the offset should be around 35-38. anything higher and you will come close to to the upper rear control arm...regardless you need to roll the guards as they will rub with 255 tyres...also 255 tyres are to wide for an 8.0 inch wheel 245 is the max...

Thanks Green!

The offset for the rims are +35 so that shouldn't be a prob. On the fronts I've got a 17x7 with 235/45R17's and the rears have the wider 8 inch with 255's. They just got made up that way and are hand me downs. :doubt:

What do you mean by 'rolled' and where does this get done? :eh:
