yo, i have a sports exhaust from the Cat backwards at 2 1/2 inch, and extractors going on tomorrow, to join the Cat at 2 1/2 inch, what size is a stock TR cat, i think its in the relm of 2, and if so, should i just fork out the extra fo a 2 1/2 cat so that theres no restriction? any help appreciated.

the standard exhaust is just under 2.5 inches so the cat should match up ok mine did but i have a 3.0 ltr

Stock is 2.25 inches, true enough its not that bad of a difference in pipe, but for the cat, where the major exhaust bottle neck is already, you're better off opening it up to 2.5 or even 2.75

you are thinking of the V6, standard for the 4 cylinder is 2 inches, 2.5 inches is huge though, I didn't think our 4 cylinder motors have enough power to push enough air through to warrent a high flow cat, but if you wanna do it, go for it :).

yeah ima go for a 2.5 cat when he installs the extractors, it'd probably only bug me if i didnt, thinking i wasnt getting "everything" i could from my enhancements. thanks, i thought our Cats were only 2 inch.
