trance - just remeber once the wheels go on, your going to need some kind of lowering, or else it'll look 4WDish in the front.

other then that, hell yeah!

Super lows with 18's are gonna scrape like a *****.

how does rim size affect whether its gonna scrape or not?

when you get bigger than standard wheels you also get a lower profile on the tyre which keeps the overall diamater of the wheel the same as the originals.

Yeh but once you hit 18's the tyre becomes to small, and also the width is going to be around 8+ inches. Plus the fact that putting 18's on a TR is illegal.

I think gerard has 18's with lows, and they sit pretty close from memory, i dont think they scrape at all though. If he is going to lower it new shocks are a MUST.

he mght wanna look at a nice set of 17"s then, to stay below the 7 inch limit (im sure thats the reason its illigal yes?)

17's look just as good, but hey the bigger the better

Yeh, go the 18's but only lower 1 1/2" all round. If ya go super low ya will be scrubbing the tyres when ya have a few passengers. I have 18 by 8's with 1 1/2 lowering and is just right. It does scrub the tyres on the back when the car is fully loaded and on rough road but doesn't do any damage.

Cheers mate. At least some people know what they're on about here. I don't have any scrapage with this setup when I'm by meself and i throw it around a bit!!! The only time it scrubs is when there is more than two or three in the car and road is very bumpy. As the guartds are rolled they don't cut into the rubber. They hardly even scuuff it.
