TR-envy has got me thinking, Can i take the steering wheel from a late model, airbag equiped magna, prefrably with a leather grip, and fit it to a TR? I dont want to use the air bag, just the wheel.

the 3rd gens steering wheels are butt ugly anyway! i'd look into one of the more "luxury" style MOMO wheels etc instead

Sorry i didn't see this post.
It's possible, not sure on the legality. I know if the car comes stock with an airbag it has to work, not sure if its equiped afterwards with one it has to work. But you can get a TE/TF steering wheel that doesn't have an airbag like i did, which bolts right in. You do however have to modify the horn mechanism, if you have a standard TR/TS.
Compared to the TR steering wheel, the 3rd gen one looks awesome, and i prefer the style of the 3rd gen wheel also, so it was win win for me :). Though if you do see a momo that you like, they can be quite nice also.
