so i went to the test and tune on friday night (mackay) and was amazed at how slow commodores and falcoons are, no v6 commodore was able to get in to the 15sec bracket no falcoon was able to get into it either, there was a few vn ss manuals and the best one of them got was a 15.4 pass, a xa hard top and all it was doing was like a 16, forget about a flat 15 seond pass like u say some of u get, even new ss commodores were only in the 15 braket if that, the new xr6's were in the 14 braket though. series 1 rx7 in the 15 braket, 200sx high 14 and a 180sx ran like a mid 15.
not boasting or anything but i think thes gives me reason to, hahhahahaha i thought magnas were family cars!
and im not daying to go and drag the first ss u see either, cant wait till i take the th down, what do u think the best time u could get using 205 tyres?

Manual 3.5 ? low 15's, with your exhaust 15.3 possib, once you get your cai 15.2ish, depending on how your launches go. But manualTJ in W.A gets regular 2.3 60' times with standard wheels/tyres and managed a 14.79 with only a sports muffler for mods :P

Interesting. Those times match up with what I've observed at the strip here in Darwin. What temperature was it at the track, do you know?
In my world where a VT2 SS with an exhaust pulls 15.3, a BA XR8 ran 15.4, and manual V6 commodores struggle to 16.2, an auto TW here managed 16.1's and a manual TH, after running 15.9 most of the night pulled a 15.6.

with cold air intake standard, i just improved it a little by putting a screw down thru the plastic sight shield(around bonnet lock) pushed it down and screwed into the vertical lock support panel. one screw very little time. bend down and take a look thru the grill to see how much more air can get in.

a better way is to remove the plastic panel around the bonnet latch completely & cut away some of the front rubber bonnet seal that blocks the intake snorkle...works a treat
