I would like to know if you had $20,000 in you possesion, what would you do???
Would you sell your car and upgrade to a diffrent top of the range vehicle OR Keep your car and do the maddest twin turbo, engine reconstrucion ever created.

Silly thread but i would put that blower on that ive always wanted and spent the rest on my other toy(my Jet ski)... :D

wouldnt go that much detail into power. but will make my car pimpin. custom paint job, custom interior, custom bodykit and get Chip Foose to make me some cumstom wheels which will cost the most :D

I'll put it aside as savings to buy another house! Meanwhile I'll park it by some shares eg. in Rio Tinto.

Invest - I need to buy a house, but don't have very good job security at the moment, so $20,000 would be a nice little 'nest-egg' until the time is right.

To me - modding my magna is a hobby, nothing more. If you wanna spend $20,000 on your hobby then go right ahead, but the only way I'd spend that kinda money in one go on my hobby is if I happened to have about 10 times that burning a hole in my bank account.

I would have $20k's worth of lap dances.

$1200 full 3" exhaust from turbo with twin dump

$1000 full suspension Koni adjustable and springs

$400 K&N air filter, VR4 intercooler

$450 front and rear strut brace and rear sway bar

$465 front EBC greenstuff pads with slotted rotors

$500 still left for a quick tune and boost up.

you now have a 13s machine that will out handle any equivalent WRX through the hills and down the 1/4 mile. You will have a car that you can drop the clutch at 6000rpm and doesn't slip. You have a car that will be faster than a supercharged V8 CV8 Monaro. You now have a car that has plenty of potential to swap parts with an Evo 3 or get replacement panel from a normal CC Lancer sedan.

Not to mention you now have a car that is still relatively dead stock, so you can make it into a 12s or 11s car with the blink of an eye.

I don't know if 20k would be enough... but i wanna convert my rada to rwd, and put in a ford 351 and related parts, 9" diff, sit it on 20's, and have 8 chrome tumpets sitting out my bonnet.. mmmm SEX!

Actually, in all honestly, if 20k came my way I'd run out and buy the first VS Clubby/Manta I could find. Can find em for as cheaps as 11k these days. Can find VT SS's for under 20k these days as well. Then I'd bomb the fcuk out of it with whatever was left.

Not down the 400m you wouldn't. A Supercharged V8 would hit 13s easy. Not only that but the monaro would look 10,000 times better :P

Yeah, but you can get many other cars into the 13s for $20k. Hell expand your budget another $5k and you can have a 10sec VL Turbo.

well I own my house and my cars so dont have to pay anything off so if I had $20,000 I would put either a 5lt or 5.7lt into my magna what a sweet sleeper that would be

just a few thoughts, a r32 that will go fast will cost the 30+ k mark,a supercharged v8 ford or holden, looks like **** goes like **** and handles like ****, why bother, waste of a good 20K, stick it in a gsr lancer, 4wd, call chris at meek performance, drop a rebuilt upgraded with huge turbo's running 25 + psi galant engine in it, easy 10's and not a holden or ford in sight cause there still overcoming wheel spin. just my thoughts. or convert the magna to 4wd and work the engine, eather way gona go faster than a pos ford or holden,

Redo the body and paint = 1500
17's and good rubber = 1000
Rip the Getrag 6spd from a 3000gt and convert my Diamante to AWD with it = 4500
Retrim interior leather with custom color scheme = 500
Engine dress up = 1000
Carputer with indash touchscreen for a GReddy Emanage = 1500

Thats 12500, not sure what i'd do with the other 7500. Probably buy a Galant VR4 or 2nd Gen Eclipse to be a Daily Driver as the Diamante would be a track beast by then.
