I thought she would of understood by now that there was a reason i was very careful with stuff in my boot, that everytime possible i put stuff on my back seat and not my boot and that everytime we went away for the weekend i took the time to disconnect and turn around the sub box and reconnect it and that reason is subs are not the most non-destructable things :(
Anyways, <insert work that auto edit would fix up> happens, now to rectify the problem I'm just wondering if anyone knows if you can replace to the silver face on the eclipse subs? The silver is scratched up and now has black lines all over it, the rubber seal is still good and no major damage has occured, just asthectic damage.
I just won't to know if it is replaceable as evertime I open my boot a lil tear rolls down my face for my subs I have been soo careful around in the past...

Do you have a link or a pic to the subs in question?
Don't suppose you can unscrew them and turn them around so the scratch isn't as noticable, at least for the short term. (ie. scratches up top)
I doubt they would sell them seperately but yeah the brand/model might help.
Wipe those tears sunshine... just melt down all 'her' silver jewelery and make a paintable paste you can paint on to give a nice finish back to it as punishment. ;)

now your thinking!!
a few brands do sell re-coning kits for woofers, but mostly are SPL comp stuff. as for eclipse, i'm not too sure! but they have to be built somewhere so they can be dismantled all the same. i'd ask the shop you got it from, but dont expect it to be cheap.

I am so sorry to hear this..
The Polished Silver face on Eclipse subs is irreplaceable...
Very Hard to match with Paint...
You could have them sent off to be repaired but would cost as much as a New Set of subs...
Sorry to Hear of this

I like your thinking, "Hey Babe, you know that neck lace, bracelet and ear rings i gave you"? "Hand them over" *Does finger motion thing*
I'm not woman bashing (verbally) but how come everytime we dirty the floor with shoes or something that can be easily and freely (cost wise) fixed it is a big deal but when we fret about stuff in the boot due to our subs or say "Hey, watch your belt with the metal studs on the paint work" or "watch the wall when you open the door" which causes damage which cost some doe to fix its a completely different story :) This is a good example of the above anyways...

Damn, I knew this was going to be the case and as your recommendation about the box it was going to happen after Xmas, mate of mine was going to make me a custom install, don't know if I will do it unless I replace the sub. Won't be the same with big nastie scratches all over 1 on the subs :(
Atleast they still sound the same, soo long as I don't go into the boot I will be fine :)
Yeah, its gone, you're screwed, never be able to undo that scratch again.
Probably don't want to spray paint or coat ur cone with anything, coz that might change the characteristics of the sub.

custom airbrushing might be the only answer if u dont want to replace the subs, but atleast its only a scratch......but still bad all the same
E.G custom install in TH magna with leather, neons, 2 X fusion 12" + 1 mother inlaw doing weekly shopping, oh and some tools from bunnings for husband = olive oil leakage, ironing board foot through sub, and 1 angry "teary" son inlaw, + question......"well why did u spend so much money on the boot? no1 will even see it"
PRICELESS :gtfo:

If the Boot is used often then the Bandpass enclosure..
A mate lent his car to a Friend who's GF went Shopping, She Bought a Garden Fork and stuck it in the Boot.... I will leave the rest to your Clever imagination..
I have seen too many tears from friends who have had subs Pierced, Amps saturated and Wires severed to count...
My Last Car had a Set of Clarion Splits, Some one in a fit of rage Kicked them in...... Lets just say she is single and None of my friends will let her ride in their Cars...
