Alright well my car is not my friend at the moment first my distributor goes so i get it fixed by an unamed repairer who ****ed me about replacing my fuel pump when i didnt need it as the filter was clogged (and he didnt replace it!!!! even after the pump). He also didnt seat the the seal on the fuel tank right and was going to charge 1400 for a new dizzy (i got a second hand one)amoung other things.
Then my windscreen starts leaking get it looked at, the frame is rusted so get that cut out and fixed then i need a new window cause it broke on the way out.
Now i thought my problems where over but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Q1 My cars immobilisors messing me about not letting me start the car at times got a mechanic to hook up the ECU and its getting imobilisor errors but he couldnt fix it. Anyone had any troubles like this if so please tell me about it (and can you turn off the immobilisor).

Q2 Secondly my cats gooooone knocked it out cause it was fullly clogged so i need a new one (smells bad and rattles i know i know but its only a temp soloution) can someone give me prices i hear 600 from mitsi but i also hear 250 for a hi flow aftermarket. If this is true well damn it ill be getting the hi flow but please tell me if anyone has replaced theirs and if so how much?

Re: aftermarket cat.

$250 is about right for an aftermarket (hi-flow) one. Don't know about a 'mistubishi' one, but from memory you can get non hi-flow units for less than a hi-flow one.

PM Anthony for price of a cat supplied, or just ask around a couple of local exhaust places.

hi flow cats make little difference. i got mates heavy in the drag scene and they only use normal cats. if you want a hi flow cat and don't want to pay the money get a landcruiser cat (i'm pretty sure its a landcruiser one). they are pretty much a hiflow cat and they are cheap.
