You'll need a nice amp for two 05' 15" R's..

As for box... probably looking a custom with the mounting depth these have... I can vouch for my two R's.

2x 15" R's = ~$600-800
Custom box = could vary depending what your looking for??
Amp to power these puppys = $x*

* - Expect major cost

Also don't forget about REAL wiring for the subs and the 'x' amp... Add afew hundred here unless doing yourself.

Btw.. your roof is going to rattle soooooo bad, sucked in!!

Why the Heck do you wanna go that Big for ??
Your Gonna need New Shocks, a Mobile Powerstation and a Whole Heap of Electrical Upgrades and sound deadoning to get the most out of the Type-R 15 inchers...

Would you not Consider four 12 inch Versions instead ??? It will take up around the same Boot space and look Trick ???

If this is truely what you want... GO FOR IT !

I think Alpine Make a Mono Block That would do these Nicely..
Just not Sure on Price...

unless you want them just for bling and ear deafening rumbles id just go with 2 quality 12"s with dd's or something will be cheaper and wont take up all your boot space

Well i wont be upgrading for a while im just looking at the moment.

Only reason i was lookin at the TYPE R 15"s was cus theres a car round here with em and they shake the ground and vibrate the car when u drive past his.

But when i found out the price of the TYPE R 15"s i think ill either look at just one or 2 12"s.

If i got just one would the enclousur i have now for my JL 15 be big enough.?

Get two new Type R 12"

Don't know what others feel/think but they will turn around to look almost 100meters away, but I thought you were buying the subs for your own pleasure !?

Furthermore what music do you listen to, because IMO the new r's are all about huge rumble and quality notes, but won't give you that chest slap style of punch which RF p3 punches could do (trance bass)..

I only play rnb and rap on the r's and they love every second on the loud & low down bass...

Think like I recommended to someone else looking at a new sub setup, please go listen to afew subs, they all sound different (slightly but still do). I think one of magnats quotes, 'Let your ears make the final decision' not your wallet or because its visually attractive because I guarantee you'll be back at the car audio shop trying out other setups, do it right the first time :)

I seriously doubt one 15" R would sit properly in your JBL box, theyre mounting depth is... DEEP.

I usually get bored of a subwoofer after about 2 months so I end up buying a new one, so I can do it wrong 100 times and not care.

Dunno whether that was sarcastic or not, as it's not really advice. Just the way I go about things. :-)

Terrible use of money, but this is all I care about. I drive a rusty first gen Magna, why would I want to spend money on how it looks or how it performs when I can just ignore everyone laughin at my car by shaking their mirrors.

If you want some massive power, get a Kicker 2500.1 its 2500RMS mono block. Sweeeeeeet. Only prob is that you will have to import it as they don't sell them in Australia.

but i think that would be enough power for your subs
