Hi guys ( and girls )
I am looking at putting 19" rims on my TL, as with most people i am stuck on trying to find a tyre that has a legal load rating.
What i am asking is if anybody that has 19" Rims on their magnas with a tyre that has a 94 load rating can you please tell me what brand tyre it is ( model number if possible ) and where you got it from.
Thanks in advance.
PS: This thread is also in magna mods please i need help asap ( monday at latest have already been paid for my standard mags)

Falken ziex from bob jane has a 95 rating will aso be the cheapest of the threee brands that make the rating for over 17" tyres.

Thank you i am not sure if that going up is legal in SA i hope so. I will also have to check this out with my insurance as i am with the 93 load rating that the local bob jane can supply.

I think i got them about 270 each in the 18s.
And yes falken do make 19 tyres with higher than 94 load rating. but depending on the width of the tyre as to whether it will fit a magna or not. I know the 235/40ZR18 Ziex on the AWD is a perfect fit. any wider and they will scrub so with the 19" yes they make them in 96s 99s etc but prob too wide will have to get the tyre guys to see on the car i'd suggest

Toyo make these in the Proxes T1-R
245/35ZR19 93Y
235/35ZR19 91Y
not quite legal (i think) but seems to be close!
or you could just go these
305/45R22 118V (YES! they actually make them!)

Unfortuantly Falken Tyres are a no go at the moment, BJTM will confirm this on monday. Any body else have some ideas, i do wish to stay legal, so if i can't find a tyre then i am going to have to settle for 18's :( so sad.
Just went and checked my 245/40/18's and they have a 97y load rating :D

I was at BJTM at Blacktown in Sydney today and they told me they can get them in. Not the same Falken Ziex 512 235/40R18 that I have but another Falken, a Wanli and some other one I can't recall. I have to go see them again on Monday, so if you like I will enquire with regards to the exact model details. PM if you like, sounds like the store you went to dont want to go out of their way to help

do you know what that is in referance to 93 94 95 etc etc.
Don't restrict yourself to BJTM. When looking for mine (18 inch), all they would get for me were michelins at $550 each. I'll give Daryl another plug at Adelaide Radial Tyre Company at Holden Hill. If he can't find a decent tyre, your screwed. Also be prepared to pay big dollars, nankang and simex don't make 19s with that load rating.
A quick net search also says:
Bridgestone RE050A (245/40R19) 94W
I very much doubt you'll be able to go any narrower or lower in profile and keep a 94 rating.
