Damien Gardener, hang on a minute, tell us why you need to get to it and perhaps someone hear can help you. If we can help you fix it before you take it to get fixed, then you can cancel the mechanics and save yourself some cash.

ok, continuing trying to fix the intermittant fault with the Auto trans. The trans fault appears to be pemperature related, but not engine temp, cool days from start take off is in low gear not sure if it's first or second then at approx 30kph if it faults there is a bone jarring dump into fault mode. If it dosent fault the Trans works perfectly. It is more likely not to fault on warmer days.
Suggested faults from several proffesionals include, Faulty solenoids, Computer or Pulse generators.
In the attemp to save money, i'm trying the cheapest first, i bought a computer from Mitscar in Moorabbin for $44 inc GST.
5 yrs ago i would have done it myself, but my health & disabilities prohibit things like this that i once enjoyed.
Any thoughts & ideas gratefully accepted
Damien.

Yeah I have absolutely no idea, keep waiting though, there's usually someone here with a brilliant knowledge. :-)

Mad lante is correct, the automatic transaxle computer is behind the centre console. In a TM it's not too hard to get at as the entire section just pulls out.
The diagnosis connector is above the glovebox. Have a look http://magna.trynsave.net/index.php?title=Carby_EFI_Conversion it shows the TCU and the test plug (from memory anyways)
