I just bought a new head unit as my local auto-pro had some good deals, then I went out again today thinking I might as well grab some speakers while they're cheap too. I was thinking splits for the front and some (hopefully) punchy 6x9s for the rear. The head unit is 4x50W so I wanted to listen to some speakers running straight off it and hopefully not worry about an amp. They had their board hooked up really well so I listened to all the speakers straight off the deck. Ok at low to mid volume but distorted when I turned it up a bit. They switched in an amp and, naturally, now my wallet is emptying again.....*sigh*. Sounded much better with the amp of course, so I decided to get that too.
Anyway, here's the gear I choose after listening to everything they had for a while. I'm interested if anyone has any of this stuff and what they think or recommend instead, as I can still change parts before it gets installed on Thursday. No stupidly expensive suggestions please as this stuff was chosen for quality for the price. Also not interested in sub at this stage.

Head unit: Pioneer DEH-2750MP Pretty much all the features I want for $189 (Already bought)

Front Speakers: JVC CS-FX6 splits. Sounded like brighter highs than the other splits I listened to, and nice clear mids. $299

Rear speakers: Fusion FES-693 6x9's. Had several choices here. The pioneers were very efficient/loud, but semmed pretty boomy and not too clear. The Kickers and Fusions I thought sounded the best but they didn't have any kickers in stock. JVC's sounded pretty good too, but they said I could have the Fusions for $119 (were $199) so I chose them. Not sure about the green, but they'll be hidden under the factory grille anyway. Considering changing to the JVC's for the better low freq response. What do you guys think?
EDIT: Changed to the JVC's. CS-HX6945. Got them for the same price and they sounded better. Read post below.

Amp: JVC KS-AX3500 4x55Wrms at less than 1%THD. All the speakers sounded great through this, and it fits what I need pretty well. Looks nice too. $199 I think.

Well, what do you think?

You could get Hertz HSK-165 Splits for around that price, much better than those JVCs.

Which Pioneer's did you try out? I've had a set of TS-A6991S's running and they sounded brilliant off my 360W amp. The only time they distorted with me was when I had the subs wound up, because the pressure from them would just bounce the cone and bottom them out. If ure 2750MP has a HPF feature on it and you're running a sub or 2 then I highly recommend to use it hey, it will crisp any speakers up.

Update: After reading the specs for a few speakers I went and listened again to the JVC 6x9's. I didn't really take much notice of them at first, but after reading that their frequency response was better than the Fusion's I thought I'd give them a listen. The bass was a bit punchier and the highs were much brighter. I actually thought they sounded alot better the more I listened, so I've switched to them to replace the Fusions. Same price too.

I see nothing Wrong with your set up.. If YOU like the way they sound then thats all that matters..

. I would look at getting a JVC KDG 615 for Approx $250-$300 this Deck will provide all the Features you will need and will sound just that little bit better then the Pioneer one you have specified as it comes with Sub out..
