soory to ask what maybe a silly question( and I may have posted this earlier) but what is the Control Centre. I have a 95 TS and the engine warning light has come on. I dont have aproper manual and the operators manual doesn't mention much about it. The light has come on before but gone off soon after but this time, it seems to be staying on. I bought teh car about 6 montsh ago and has been going beautifully ever since...although it doe seem to guzzel fuel :)
any ideas about the Engine Centre ?

timing chain might be loose..hitting the box, causing the light to come on

Could be a buggered O2 sensor......... Take it to a mechanic and he'll plug the computer into it and see what fault codes are coming up.

Yeah mate the chain is so loose it is going through the firewall and hitting the computer box lol
It could be many sensors, Knock Sensor, loose plug into MAS or one of the many others. If you do nto know what to check take it to a mechanic to check, they will do a fault code reading, and while there they will also put a new chain in and hopefully bog up the huge hole in your firewall

Hello Graham,
The check engine light is comming on and advising the ECU (computer) has storred a or some fault codes. As Madmagna points out, it can be a number of things. I beleive this car's (your) fault codes are pulled with an OBD I fault code reader. If this is the case you can pull your own codes - simple to do and cost's little. Here's some info on how ---> http://www.diamanteowners.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=64648&hl=
You can pull the fault codes for the automatic transmission as well.
Hope this helps

Here's some photos of a bad automatic TCU (Tramission Control unit). same thing applies to the ECU. The capicitators are cheap and end up leaking on the circutry board. Also if the chip (black sqaure) appears to be bulging and smells like bad eggs, the chip is bad.
