I have a TR magna with only one 4" speaker now as the other blew up. When i bought my car it was electronically bare. it only had wiring for front speakers and a radio, everyhting else was manual etc. Since then i have put in a new cd player, remote central locking, alarm, immobiliser and soon 6"x9". But i have a problem, i cant find any speakers to replace my front 4" as the holes for them are too shallow for other 4" speakers.

I have an idea to buy 6" componet speakers and mount tweaters in custom mouldings on the dash.

Any help would be appreciated.

ill make this sweet and short

4" - crap - waste of time, effort, and money

buy some 6" Splits - mount in DOOR, you will be happy.

sorry to make it short - but thats all you need to know

Agreed..
The Door cavity will offer superior sound over the Tiny little Dash Board ..
Get a set of 6 inch mounted in the Front doors and you will not regret it..

If you insist on wanting 4" speakers then Jaycar has some with low profile magnets which may suit. The Cat No. is CS-2330 and they are priced at $24.95.

Yeh the speakers are only 15w max, so i'm guessing you've probably blown them up with your new cd player. All you have to do is cut away abit of the plastic that usually sits underneath the stock speakers (dont worry, it doesn't do anything).
Some people dont wanna chop up their door trims to fit 6" speakers.
