ok this might sound really stupid and i cant remember if i was dreaming or not but i put a pod filter on and the car is stalling and dying a little on take off i assume this is to much air not enough petrol, is there a way to reset somethin and make your fuel input more i think i remember someone telling me how to do it but i cant remember, something about pulling a fuse out and resetting the computer and then it measures the air and resets the amount of fuel put in. Am i insane or is there a way to do this if so how????

You can reset the computer by disconnecting one of the battery terminals for 5 or more minutes. I really don't think that will solve your problem - but some people claim it is a miracle cure.

Essentially - the fuel / air maps don't change. It just may speed up the 'learning' of the ECU. I recommend after 'resetting the ecu' - let the car idle for 10 mins or so before driving it..... I have experienced problems from jumping in the car and going for a spin straight after the battery has been disconnected.

I'd check the MAF sensor connector is firmly connected while you've got the bonnet up.

I will bet odds that you are not using a K&N Oval shaped pod filter. If you are then look for definitly a loose plug, air leak.

But if you are using anything other than a K&N oval shaped pod filter, change back to standard and I bet the problem disapears.

Exactly the same problem I'm seeing (see magna mods). It's not stalling, but there's not as much urgency down lower as there once was. However it's all bells whistles and sirens above 5000rpm tho?

Maps are maps and I very much doubt it would make any difference. I removed/disconnected my battery to install my pod/box/cai, and have the same problem.

If you find anything that works well, please post.

also make sure theres no leaks in the piping anywhere... try and get a car running with the intake pipe off the car... it will barely idle
