I recently bought a 88' Magna, now ive noticed on some people pictures that theres has a small bodykit?

I have been toled that a 88' Magna Elante 5speed Manual with a bodykit and wing, is very rare.
Is this true? it has a VERY nice interior aswel. Very good condition.
So my question, is my car rare? Its got EFI, not a carby. Also its 2.6L, if that is needed for more information.

little more info needed and im sure somone will be able to let u know
eg. is it sedan or station wagon, manual or auto. if u post ur vin numbers from ur engine bay, that would help heaps. and in ur profile ur engine should be 2.6 lt astron 2
i think uve got a tn 1988 correct me if im wrong. is ur car fuel injected or carby and also do u have any badges like glx, elite, executive etc etc
this might help sum http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20232

Ok.Well.

Sedan
Manual
Fuel Injected

Bagdes: Elante

I assume it is a TN as it has "TN" written at the start of the Vin number.
Is a TN Elante sedan, with manual rare? And one with good interior, no rips or stains and such?

ill tell you whats rare these days AUTO elantes... one of the acticles i have states that the ratio was 45% to the auto 55% for the manual but i guess if mitsubishi make a proper auto there would be more around that havnt died :P

fyi i read more of the acticle today and found out that normal sales of the tm and tn where 25% manual 75%auto

oh and cartman02au god dam your seat needs cleaning!!

No, no pics at the moment as i need to give her a good wash yet.
Interior is in great condition. Minor rust. Few dents and dings, nothing to big.
And the car is Pure White.

i payed 160 for a mate

a bit off topic, but I was wondering if anyone has removed the black 'tug boat' strip from their car, and if so did they like it?

sorry to hijack a post but i just thought of it while i was admiring mad lantes av.

if by 'tug boat' strip you mean the door trimming... yes ive stripped mine and filled the gap with body filler. After a week of sanding and painting (amateur job) it was done.. check out my profile pic for a looksie lol

so you reckon it would look any good if you painted the bumpers, all the same color as well/get rid of all the black? cause i thought about it then i thought it would look pretty crappy if the bumpers still had black outs on them, can you posts some pics up of the cars with out the trimming down the sides?

Cheers

i was thinkin about that myself, painting everything white... but i think that would be too much.. plus if ya wanted it like that, just get an elante or gt kit coz they are already 1 colour.. gimme ur email and ill be happy to send ya some more pics of her :D

no there not
<<<<

btw if your gonna take the sides off at least go to the bother of painting the top part of the bumper cos it looks 100x as worse
i dont think gen1s have the right lines to have them removed looks out of place
or better still just paint the sides and the top part of the bumper
