Hi all, Im fairley new to this site.I have a 2002 TJ Sports Wagon with a slight oil leak comeing through the trans housing. No it's not a drain plug, filler plug, gasket or seal. It's actually comeing through the metal.I can't find any hit marks or signs of anything having hit it so I guess it must just be a bad casting/porus metal.I did a search and couldn't find any other posts regarding this problem.I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or seen this before.

i had fluid dripping from the housing and i also assumed it just wasn't sealed well enough. as i was filling up my transmission fluid (manual) though i realised the plug wasn't even finger tight. the shape of the housing causes fluids to end up all along the bottom seal of, so i doubt thats where it is coming from. so the fluid could of dropped onto the housing from anywhere.

no it's actually comeing through the metal. If you clean it away with brake cleaner you can actually watch is soak thru the metal.like watching a beer coaster suck up spilt beer.thanks anwway.
