hey guys.
just bought a KR wagon and i need to put new speakers in the a rse end.
does anyone know wat the biggest speaker size will fit in there? keeping in mind they are in the roof lining?
i really didnt want to go all out with my stereo like my TS, just wanted new fronts, rears, all off an amp, and a roof mounted screen.
anyway of fitting 6x9s in there???

Hi, I have a wagon too (TS). I bought the Verada Roof Speakers with the intention of replacing the speakers with something better then putting them in my roof.
However, I then went out and bought 6.5" Splits.
When I took the Headunit & speakers to the shop for fitting, I took the Verada Roof Speakers & brackets with me just in case. But the guys just looked at me and said "arrr, NO".
(at least not without heavy costly modification that would be of no benefit anyway.)
I got them fitted in the rear side panels.

I think the speakers are 4" or 5" - I'll check tomorrow and let you know.

hmm....interesting.
ok, well if i put 6x9's in the rear panels, where would i put the amp to run all the speakers??
my aim is to not waste space because i plan to sleep n shag in the back wen we go camping and stuff. thats the reason i dont want subs, but i still want a clean sound with a bit of bass.
i also plan to put a flip down screen near the rear door, so i can lay back and watch tv with the door up.
infinity have a 6x9 component setup which includes: 6x9 bass driver, 4'' or 5'' mid driver, and tweeter. all with crossovers. i think that may be a good way to do it...and i think they are only about $500...so its not a bad price.

sub you can hide along the side, doesnt have to be big and lumpy, same as the amp, stick it to the side, still plenty of room to sleep n shag, and for gods sake i didnt wanna know what ur gonna do in there geez....just say i will be occupying the space
id say probably a sub, and some 6*9's.....but try before you buy, just personal taste i guess.......hope that helps
