Just curious anyone who has a TE Magna or similar that is manual tell me what ur Idolin RPM is because mine sits about 800 and jumps up and down between that and 1000....Is this normal or is my engine tellin me somthin ere...but accordin to the manufacturaz its normal speed is about 750..?? hmmm...i have a te manual, and find sometimes the idle speed varies, depending on the temperature of the engine and other factors.
if you're concerned, you could adjust the idle speed yourself, or maybe a tune-up may be in order.

I dont a 2nd gen maunal and i've noticed that the idling is just the auto choke and if you wanna find out whether its idling too high after its warmed up, go for a fair drive, before turning the engine off check if the engine idle is still around the 1000 mark, if it is u may wanna get it checked. mine idling while its cold is 1250 which is really high but after its warmed up it drops to around 800 which is about right, its better to have a slightly high idle then to have it stall.lol

Idol speed? ... is that what burnt out Australian Idol contestants take to get high after losing?

Oh, you mean idle speed. My TJ does about 900. Steady as. Starts at about 1100 when really cold. :)

900 rpm um thats a bit high at idle for the v6

I've had mine anywhere between 750rpm to 1150rpm. I'd prefer it if it'd stay lower, rather than higher.

My TF hunts a little from time to time, never bothered to investigate it - mostly cause it's the Mrs car and I don't have to put up with it.
